Shopping Malls & Complexes in and around Westchester
 
Of all the articles I have written, this one seems to be the most difficult to put into words. There is such a variety of shopping in Westchester from large luxury malls with world famous stores, to mom and pop candy stores that occupy small store fronts along our quaint New England town or village Main streets. One can find antique purses and handbags, to the latest technological gadget that might message your back. If you need it, Westchester will have it somewhere. So this list is a very partial list of the world of shopping in Westchester, but it does mention the larger malls and shopping districts. Forgive me if I have left out your favorite shopping area; send me an email and I will include it.
 
Cortlandt Town Center
Mohegan Lake, 526-4995
Over 40 retailers serving northern
Westchester, including Linens n’ Things,
Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Barnes & Noble,
Marshalls, Dress Barn, United Artist Theatre,
and more. Hours vary by store.
 
Cross County Shopping Center
Yonkers, 968-9570
The County’s largest mall, with one million
square feet of space across several buildings
joined by an outdoor promenade. It offers
more than 100 fine stores and services, including
Macy’s and Sears.
 
Empire State Flea Market
Port Chester, 939-1800
Featuring more than 100 independent merchants,
including 20 full-service fine jewelers.
Over 40,000 square feet of shopping. Open
year-round, Friday – Sunday, and every day in
December.
The Galleria at White Plains
White Plains, 682-0111
Four-story mall with several levels of parking.
The Galleria has Macy’s, Sears, H&M, Old
Navy, and Ann Taylor Loft, as well as 140
specialty stores and a large food court with
a variety of restaurants.
 
Jefferson Valley Mall
Yorktown Heights, 245-4200
Over 550,000 square feet of shopping
pleasure at H&M, Macy’s, Sears, and
110 specialty stores. Includes an eight screen
cinema complex, free parking, softseating
areas and a 500-seat food court.
Located east of the Taconic State Parkway
in northern Westchester.
 
The Source at White Plains
White Plains, 287-8700
The Fortunoff Department Store is joined
in the shopping center by Whole Foods,
Destination Maternity, The Cheesecake
Factory, and Morton’s, The Steakhouse.
Central parking garage.
 
The Waterfront
Port Chester, NY
Multiplex Movie Theater, Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond
Super Stop n Shop, Marshalls, DSW, Michaels Crafts
Famous Footwear, more stores and Restaurants.
 
Vernon Hills Shopping Center
Eastchester, 472-2000
A row of stores including Lord & Taylor,
American Eagle Outfitters, Gymboree, Ann
Taylor, Children’s Place, Brooks Brothers,
Smith & Hawken, Talbots, and more. Hours
vary by store.
 
The Westchester
White Plains, 683-8600
A world-class shopping destination
boasting over 150 fine stores including
Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Crate &
Barrel, Pottery Barn Kids, Louis Vuitton,
Gucci, NikeWomen, Apple, Brooks Brothers,
Tumi, Sony Style, and P.F. Chang’s China
Bistro. This fashion center offers valet
parking, complimentary strollers and wheelchairs,
the Simon Kidgits Club, Simon Guest
Services, as well as bronze sculptures and skylights
throughout the center. Several
full-service restaurants and a Food C
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets

Hundreds of premium outlet stores in an open air style
shopping complex. Designer Fashions for the whole family,
Shoes, Fine Leather and Luggage, Housewares and
Home Furnishings, Accessories and Jewelry, and
Restaurants.
 
Palisades Center
West Nyack, NY 845-348-1000
Large mall under one roof with an array of stores,
restaurants and movie theater.
Some notable restaurants are Dave and
Busters, Johnny Rockets and Legal Sea Foods.
Bring your walking shoes because this mall is
huge! Check their website for upcoming events.
